Newsfeed: Swordfish Tails

One of a kind Hand cast and painted reproduction Swordfish tails. Molded from Team Scales 91 incher Sept.10th 2011. The tails are cast using a heavy solid plastic resin. Then taken from the mold and primed in metallic Chrome paint,( then one secret "proprietary" step is applied), then colors are then applied and a final gloss clearcoat is applied for looks and durability. The tails each come out slightly defferent in color giving each one its own character and reflection when held in the light. The smooth side can also have intricate designs painted on it (coming soon!). These tails are 36" across and weigh approx. 3.5 lbs and can be put anywhere from the coffee table to mounted on a wall plaque. Please feel free to contact for questions and/or ordering.

News:Live Painitng for Tom Curren

I had the pleasure to be a part of last wednesday's night's show at Speakeasy, the last stop of Tom Curren's East Coast Tour! Tom is one of the pioneers of modern day shortboard surfing. 3 time ASP world Champion turned Singer Songwriter. I was happy to get involved in the raffle and do a live painting of a famous photo of Tom at Backdoor Pipeline in the 80's. It was a great event and awesome to meet Tom as well! A Big thanks to Neil at Ostreet Surfboards for the connection!

New Painting: “Daytime Delight”

"Daytime Delight"  40"x47" Acrylic and enamel on canvas . 2011 It's no secret now that giant Broadbills can be boated in broad daylight, the tricky part is fishing your line at 1700 ft! In the past few years this recent discovery has taken off in the South Florida fishing community. This September and October were no different. I had the pleasure of heading out on multiple trips in the past few months boating these brutes. You just can't imagine the amazing colors these fish portray as they are lit up in the water during the day, deep purple magentas, bright browns and ambers, and of course everyfish you pull up has his or her own character and coloring. It was only natural that I finally did a daytime scene portraying the action at the surface. The fish usually come to the boat relitively quickly and you must take advantage of that oppurtunity, the minute they  break the surface, and see your boat and what they have in store, they make a mad dash, and your on for another battle! The swordfish above is not letting up easy, he has breached the surface, shown his glory in daylight, seen his fate, and will battle us until the end..... Limited Edition, Signd prints will be available starting next week. Original for sale.

New Painting: “Yellow Fever”

"Yellow Fever" 55" x 60" Acrylic and Enamel on Canvas Copyright 2011 Peter Agardy. Original Available. Gicle prints on Canvas and watercolor paper available. Inspired by my recent tuna missions, I was fortunate enough to make the crossing east for some INSANE  Yellowfin Tuna action a handful of times this summer. I was just itching to get back into the studio to paint an underwater scene of the action we witnessed , of these brutes slamming baits under the boat! A very special thanks to the friends who made these trips possible this summer. I'm looking forward to more action as Swordfish and Snook bites have already heated up, and the Wahoo bite approaching around the corner.

Update: New Shirt Design for Altier Fishing Team

a few months back, right before summer started, my friend cutler over at Altier Jewelers, in Boca Raton, had me re-design his shirts for his fishing team. Cutler had a vision, we collaborated and brainstormed,  and I brought it to life! I'm sure a handful of you guys have seen this type of scenario under your kites, just like we have!! The Sailfish is actually taken from the shirt design from last year.

Update: H2Ocean Mural round 2

This is the second mural installment for H2Ocean that I completed this month. An update from the old plain awnings. They are planning on putting vinyl lettering on the upper awning to the right of the swordfish, to complete it. I got to work on the 40 ft boom lift for a week which is always fun! A big thanks to Eddie and the H2Ocean team, looking forward to everything and being part of the Pro Team!  Pro Team update soon! Stay tuned!
